What's a Foam Pit

The concept of a Foam Pit originates from gymnastics. It's a big container with big blocks of foam. In this container a gymnast can make soft landings when practising new gymnastic skills. The BMX Foam Pit has the same purpose as the Foam Pit in gymnastics. BMX-riders can make soft landings while practising new jumps they want to execute during BMX-Park or BMX-Dirt sessions. A Foam Pit does not guarantee a soft or risk free landing. Important is to stay seated on the bicycle as long as possible when making a jump and don't push away the bicycle. When you do push away the bicycle chances are you're going to land on top of the bicycle. There's also the chance that the bicycle will "jump back" from the Foam Pit and hit you.
